This tour will give you a chance to visit two lovely areas of Kyiv – Central Park and Lipky and main street Khreschatyk and Independent Square with its old mansions larly Soviet apartment buildings constructed for senior officials.  After the construction of more than 100 meters tall sculpture of the Iron Lady and 50 meters tall Arch of Friendship with almost  200 tons of stainless and titanium used for them, local sculptors prefer to design something small, human size. This tour will bring you to those rather sculptures in the central part of the city of Kyiv.

During the walking tour guide will meet you near the entrance of Metro Station Khreschatyk and the tour start with the visit to the Central Park with the sculptures of two very popular in Ukraine ladies-poetess Lesya Ukrainka and actress Maria Zankovetskaya, then we will come to Zhaba (English – toad), a symbol of greediness.

Next, we’ll bring you to the creator of Ukrainian Constitution  – Filip Orlik. Over 300 years ago he wrote it in the exile. It is believed that Orly airport in Paris is named after his estate there. Further, you will see a sculptor of the soviet-time “James Bond”, a character from the popular movies “The place to meet can’t be changed” situated near the gate of the Head office of Ukrainian Police. On Maydan Nezalezhnosti (Eng: Independent Square) you can check the sculptures to the Kyiv’s founders Kyi, Shchek, Khoriv and their sister Lybid, sculpture of Cossack Mamay playing kobza near the Horse. Next stop is near the sculpture of architect Horodetsky who build the House with Chimaeras were now is the official Presidential residence for official and diplomatic ceremonies. Horodetsky’s unique architectural style earned him praise as the Antonio Gaudi of Kyiv.

Finally, you see the sculptures of two Ukrainian actors. One of them is next to hi dachshund. Ladies visiting this sculpture are especially fond of sitting on the actor’s lap. Near by is the sculpture of the Polish architect who is presently more popular in Kiev than Emperor Nicolas I and Karl Marx. A little bit further at one of the t-junctures of Khreschatyk, our tour will end at the sculpture of one of the actors from the book The Golden Calf. Awarding to its actors he tried to steal money while crossing the street pretending he was blind and needed help.
